Description
Off-road cyclists will enjoy the steep grades and challenging trails at Alafia River State Park, as the once phosphate mine now offers some of the most amazing elevation changes in the state. The trails have the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) Epic designation, as well.
Boaters can also enjoy the waters of the Alafia River using a boat ramp on the south of the park. There's also a family campground suitable for RVs and tents, offering water and electrical hookups at each of the 30 campsites. The campground offers clean restrooms with solar-heated showers, two large picnic pavilions, and 12 sites with equestrian designation and tie-outs for horses.
