Description

The pin is the entrance to the Hal Scott Regional Preserve, which has 3 campgrounds, of which two campgrounds are first come first serve (Yates Campsite and Yellow Loop Campground), and one is a group camping area which must be reserved (White Loop Group Campsite). Primitive hike in tent camping. No vehicle access to the camping areas. This property is an oasis in the rapidly developing Orlando area and protects resources of the Econlockhatchee River. Despite its proximity to a metropolitan area, the property is a gem of natural areas with abundant wildlife. Facilities at this site include picnic tables and fire ring with grill attachment. Non-potable water and covered pavilions are available at Yates Campground and White Loop Group Campsite. Check in after 1 PM and checkout by 11 AM. The White Loop Group Campsite is located on the White blaze trail. Yates Campsite and Yellow Loop Campground are located on the Yellow blaze trail. There is a locked gate from which you need to walk at least 30 min. to the closest campground.

I created the site. Didn't check out the campgrounds, so please update with more knowledge. I slept in the parking lot because the gates were closed.
