Nice swimming beaches. You can walk up to the top of the old bridge for a bird's eye view. Lots of picnic areas, not much shade.

Bahia Honda State park was an oasis for us. We visited in May, it was extremely warm, and therefore só nice and refreshing to go for multiple swims. The beaches were walking distance from our site. Our camp site was situated in-land, we were happy with it, but we would have loved a water-view site, unfortunately they were all already reserved, our error, we shouldn't have waited until last minute to book. We definitely recommend the short hiking trail to the old bridge, the panoramic view from the bridge was absolutely stunning! Lastly, remember to pack insect repellent, the mosquitos "ate us alive"
