Description
Tallulah Gorge is one of the most extraordinary canyons in the eastern United States. It is 2 miles long and 1,000 feet deep. It features rim trails leading to scenic overlooks. A permit can also be obtained to hike the gorge floor. There is a suspension bridge hanging 80 feet above the rocky bottom.
It has 50 tent and RV sites with tables and fire rings. Picnic shelter, sand beach, gift shop and playground are available in the park.

Free permits are required to access the gorge floor and can be obtained at the Interpretive Center on the day of your visit. Visitors must wear proper footwearno flip-flops or Crocs.
