In 2013, Georgia Veterans State Park was privatized and its management handed over to Coral Hospitality, a Florida-based hotel and resort management company. Today, it stands as the pet-friendly Lake Blackshear Resort & Golf Club with onsite activity amenities such as the Georgia Veterans Memorial Golf Course, an outdoor swimming pool with a hot tub, and miles of nature trails for hiking, biking, and running.
