At an elevation of 6,200 feet, Buttermilk Campground is situated in a mixed growth lodgepole pine forest - offering shaded 47 single sites, six double sites, and one group site. There is a boat ramp and fish cleaning stations near Island Park Reservoir, where campers can go boating, kayaking, canoeing, waterskiing, and fishing.
