Description

Dispersed camping in the Sawtooth National Forest. Cliff side fire-pit and tent site just out of view from the road. There are no facilities. Campers must be self-sufficient. Take all rubbish with you and leave no trace. There are no toilet facilities at this site. If you do not have your own toilet, bury human waste at least 100m from tracks and water bodies. Bury toilet paper or bag and dispose of in a bin once you leave the site. 16 day camping limit, must relocate more than 10 miles of the original site for 14 days. All campfires must be on a fire pan or fire blanket. Use of gas stoves is highly recommended. If you must build a fire, only use dead and down wood. Fires damage vegetation, sterilize soil and scar the land. Campfires are not allowed: Off-trail from July 1st through Labor Day. Please keep your pets on a leash. The east side of Forest Road 626 is the White Clouds Wilderness Area. All Sawtooth Wilderness users must have a permit which are available at all trailheads at no cost. As with all wildernesses, this area is closed to bicycles, motor vehicles, wheeled carts, chainsaws and other motorized equipment.
