Description
Surrounded by young lava flow, this campground offers 42 sites that are available on a first come, first served basis. Large RVs can be accommodated here but there are no hookups available.
Flush and vault toilets, potable water, amphitheater, trash bins, picnic tables, and food lockers are available here. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 6am, meaning you can't use your generators or play loud music during these hours. Some sites are wheelchair accessible, as well as the restrooms.
Camping fee is $15 a night.

Campsites 25 and 24 are with the best view. But it is super windy, be prepared and fix your tent properly. 25th is one of the most windy btw since it's on top of the hill

August 31, 2022.... Stayed one night. Absolutely beautiful desolate lava flow natural surroundings. Clean restrooms. I selected a tent site far from the restroom so its light would not interfere with my star gazing.
