Description
Tucked on the edge if Big Wood River, this campground is surrounded by aspen and cottonwood. Trails leasing to Amber Lakes, Window Lake, and Hemingway-Boulder Wilderness Area can be accessed here. Campers can fish in Big Wood River and surrounding creeks, or just stay in the camp and spot some wildlife.
A total of 28 sites, including 3 double sites are available at North Fork campground. 26 of those can be reserved in advance. Picnic tables, fire rings, vault toilets, and drinking water are available. Dogs are allowed but must be on leash. Campers can stay for a maximum of 10 nights.
Camping fee is $18 a night. The campground operates from May to September.
