Description
Located on top of Boise Ridge Mountain at 7,000 feet, Shafer Butte campground offers beautiful views of Deer Point, Mores Mountain, and Shafer Butte Summits. Below it is an expansive valley. Several trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding are accessible here.
It has 7 tent-only sites that can be reserved in advance. Double sites and group sites are included. Picnic tables, fire rings, and vault toilets are available. Dogs are allowed but must be on leash. It is open from June to October.
Camping fee is $10 a night for single site and $50 to $74 for group sites.
