Description
Smokey Bear campground is set on a mixed conifer forest and near Alturas Lake. It has several trails leading into Sawtooth Wilderness. Campers can also fish for trout, or go sailing, swimming, motorboating on the lake. A boat ramp and boat trailer parking area are available in the camp.
It has 8 single sites and 3 double sites. Campers can stay for a maximum of 10 days. Picnic tables, fire rings, water, and vault toilets are available. Dogs are allowed but must be on leash. It is open from June to September.
Camping fee is $18 a night.
