Description
Craters of the Moon is home to caves and trails along a 7-mile loop road. There are lava tubes, volcanic cones and various volcanic features. The visitor center has a book store, maps, toilets, food and drink.

Well worth the detour. Can use US parks pass for entry. Must stop at visitors centre for free cave permit. Drive or walk to access many wonderful volcano features including caves.
