Description

The Buel House is a single-family house and historic site in Golconda built in 1840, and is owned by the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency and operated by the Pope County Historical Society. The two-storey rectangular square-log structure has one-story additions on the east and north sides of the original building. Visitors can also see a restored and furnished log cabin used for interpretive programs by the Pope County Historical Society.
