Description
A limestone memorial that has become a symbol not only of Indianapolis, but of the state of Indiana. It stands 284 feet and 6 inches high, only 15 feet shorter than the Statue of Liberty.
It is the state's official memorial to the Hoosiers who served in the Revolutionary War, 1812 War, Mexican War, Civil War, Frontier Wars, and the Spanish-American War.
