Description

Grant Wood's famous painting 'American Gothic' depicts a farmer and his daughter standing side by side in front of a farm house. You can find a replica of Wood's iconic image painted on a barn on a private farm off of U.S. Route 30 in Iowa. The barn's owner commissioned local middle school art teacher Mark Benesh to adorn the space with the recreation. Please note that this barn is actually on private property so you may or may not be welcome. And, if you do pull over be respectful of the space, hours, and noise.
