Description
Lake Scott State Park is a beautiful 1,020-acre park that surrounds the 100-acre, spring-fed Scott State Fishing Lake, and a 160-acre wildlife area lies west of the park.
One of the most historic locations in Kansas, the park holds over 26 documented archeological site, including the Steele home, which was the dwelling of the original settlers on the area and has been preserved much as it was 100 years ago.

The only real downside is that you have to drive a couple of miles to the pay station, once you've selected a site. But it's a nice area, and I had a whole area to myself in November.
