Description
A total of 281 campsites are available at Blackwoods. 221 of those are for tents only and 61 are for RVs. All campsites are wooded and within a short walk to the ocean. The camp is on the east side of Mount Desert Island.
Blackwoods has an amphitheater, dump station, toilets, and potable water. It is open from May to October. Camping fee is $30 a night.

The majority of Blackwoods' sites are for small and large tents; other sites can accommodate travelers with RVs. Flush toilets, running water, and a dump station are provided, as are picnic tables and fire rings. Roads are paved. Fee shower facilities and camping supply stores are located in the village of Otter Creek, 1/2 mile from the campground.

Great location close to trails. Sites are fairly closely spaced, but a lot of them were empty due to no-shows. Bathrooms were very clean. Drinking water tastes great. Staff was very friendly. Would stay here again.
