Description
Greenbelt Park campground has 172 sites available all year round. 35 of these sites are for RVs only, 30 are tents-only and the rest can accommodate both.
The camp has flush toilets, showers, potable water, trash bins, and dump station. Three miles from the camp, guests can access grocery stores, gas station, and restaurants.
Camping fee is $20 a night.

Greenbelt park campground was ideal location to use as our base to explore Washington DC. $20 daily rate was an added bonus, suiting our budget nicely. Our campsite was in the D loop. Note that some of the sites are not level, therefore good idea, if you can, try to view the sites before making your choice. We made use of the metro train to travel to the city. College Park metro and Greenbelt metro are not too far from the campground. Greenbelt metro has suitable parking and we parked our RV at Greenbelt metro when we went to the city.

We took Greenbelt line to College park to get to camping place, and then there is a short cut to campsite, that is not market at google maps. The best way to find it, if you hike FROM campsite, it's on the end of loop D. It takes 40min to walk from campsite to metro in total: 20min through the national park and 20min next to busy highway.
