Description

Borden Flats Light is a historic lighthouse on the Taunton River, and is a tower-on-caisson type known as a sparkplug lighthouse. Here, visitors can experience being a lighthouse keeper by booking their Overnight Keepers' Program. Lighthouse amenities include a kitchenette with a dorm-sized refrigerator, a 4-burner gas stove with oven, dinnerware, and a coffee pot; a 1/2 bath with kitchen sink and RV-style Porta-Potty; an outdoor gas grill with utensils and propane provided; a 32-inch flat-screen TV with DVD player; one queen-sized, pillow-top bed; and several cushioned deck chairs.
