Description
The Potter Park Zoo is a 102-acre zoo that aims to inspire people to conserve animals in the natural world. It is the oldest public zoo in Michigan and is currently home to over 160 species of animals.
It features a Feline and Primate Building that houses three Amur (Siberian) tigers, three African lions, a snow leopard, lemurs, mandrills, and endangered tamarin monkeys; and a Bird and Reptile House that presents a wide variety of reptiles such as boas, gila monsters, and emerald tree boas, and birds such as macaws, eastern screech owls, kookaburras, and endangered Bali mynas.
