Description
Makoshika State Park is Montana's largest state park, featuring the badlands of Makoshika that are set aside for visitors to see and enjoy.
Start at the visitor center at the park entrance, which houses a Triceratops and Tyrannosaurus Rex fossil along with other fossil remains and badland interpretive displays. Trek the Montana Dinosaur Trail and find out more about the state's paleontology exhibits and activities.
Aside from 11 designated hiking trails, there are also 28 camping sites, a group picnic area, and an outdoor amphitheater.
