Pretty spot in the Refuge close to the highway - but nevertheless quiet and peaceful. Several spots along the lake shore with fire pits and tables. Pit toilets. You can walk around the lake and even further into the desert, which is very nice. Visitor center with interpretive displays and a movie about the Refuge is 3 miles south and worth a visit.
