Description
This trail can be accessed from either of the 2 Calico parking areas. Hikers usually recommend taking the stretch from Calico 1 to Sandstone Quarry trailhead. As you go on the trail, appreciate the beautiful view of the red hills. you'll go up and down in this hike, and descend to some cool rocks. You will then reach Calico 2 and continue your hike. You might find a huge boulder where you can see petroglyphs in them. The trail will then end at Sandstone Quarry. From here, you can either continue to hike Calico tanks or head back the way you came in.

Easy to moderate walk. 2 to 6 mile trail, you choose. Takes 1.5 to 3.5 hours. This trail gives access to support climbing areas.

Very enjoyable hike. Some rock scrambling. When you get to the tanks, either climb down into them and back out the other side or climb up and walk along the ledge to the right for some amazing views of the red rocks and Vegas.
