Keystone Thrust Trail

Description
A geologically significant trail because right here, you can actually see the exposed sections of the Pacific and North American continental plates. When these two plates shoved around 65 million years ago, it formed the Sierra Nevada mountains to the west, as well as the deep limestone layers that is now the Red Rock canyon.
It will be easy to spot the Keystone Thrust because of its red color contrasting all the gray mountains and limestone around. There is a vault toilet and interpretive signs at the trailhead.
