Description
This museum is one of Nevada's seven state museums which houses artifacts from ruins of prehistoric archaeological sites which were flooded when Lake Mead was formed. An archaeologist named the excavated site Pueblo Grande de Nevada which is now popularly known as the Lost City.
It now has 3 exhibition galleries, small screening room, research library, and museum store. You can find here objects unearthed and stories from people involved in the dig.
Admission fee is $5 for adults and seniors, all children 17 and under are free to enter. The museum is open Wednesdays to Sundays from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Collection of artifacts recovered from a series of archaeological sites that run for 25 miles along the Muddy River Valley in southern Nevada. The museum is open 7 days a week 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Closed Christmas day, New Years day and Thanksgiving day. A shaded picnic area is available to use. There are parking spaces available for RV's.
