Description
If you want a quiet retreat from the energy of Las Vegas, you might want to hike the highest summit of Spring Mountains. Foothills of this mountain can be reached in half an hour drive from Las Vegas. Visitors flock here every year for picnicking, photography, horseback riding, skiing, and of course, hiking.
In summer, it can be a cool retreat, while in winter, it is a snowy wonderland. Sudden snow is also possible sometimes during fall and spring. At times during winter, trails are impassable because of the amount of snow.
There are also a lot of campgrounds located here where you can just watch the night sky glimmer with stars. Biking trails with beautiful views can also be enjoyed by visitors. Over 25 endemic plant and animal species can be found here as well.
