Description
It is a difficult trail which might take 3.5 to 4.5 hours to finish the 4.6-mile hike. It is better to start your hike early in the morning as it gets really hot during midday.
The trail starts at Calico Tanks parking lot, and as you pass by the Calico Tanks you will traverse the desert which is still easy to navigate. From then on, the trail will be very steep which will be challenging. It will only begin to flatten again once the summit is reached.
No matter how difficult, visitors still give this a try because of the panoramic view of Red Rock and Las Vegas that is seen from its peak.
