For campers who like camping, fishing, boating, or just being outdoors, Elephant Butte Lake State Park has plenty of water and beach room. It has 173 developed campsites, 144 of which are water and electric only, and eight are full hookup sites. There are restrooms, picnic area, playgrounds, and a marina.

Primitive camping along the lake. Can pretty much choose anywhere your vehicle can go.They also have sites with Ramada and hookups.

The cost is 8 to pitch a tent...showers are outdoor only and only from mar.14-oct15
