Description
Open year-round, Gallo Campground offers a rugged camping experience surrounded by inscriptions, petroglyphs, and a high desert landscape. Each campsite features a picnic table and a fire grate with a grill, and are able to accommodate RVs or tents. Most sites include tent pads, and the campground offers drinking water and flush toilets.
Generators may also be operated between the hours of 8:00AM-10:00AM, 12:00-2:00PM, and 5:00-7:00PM daily.

Excellent campground open in February $20 to camp and $25 park fee. However no electricity available was a little chilly with no furnace. Bathrooms open and maintained

Well maintained facility. No shade. Wash water available from deep sink facility in toilet block. Drinking water available from taps at the visitor center parking lot 1/2 mile west of campground. Reservations advised. Check in with on-duty camp host. Excellent bicycling on paved and unpaved roads and paths.

Heated bathrooms much appreciated in Feb! Nice, level sites. Beware: road in from both directions is about 20 miles of dirt/gravel/washboard that can become impassable due to rain.
