Description
The NRA Whittington Center in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of Colfax County is one of the largest and most comprehensive shooting facilities in the United State, wherein 10 percent of the 33,300-acre site includes 23 shooting ranges, an administration building, a cafeteria, a museum, a library, classrooms, and full-service hookups for 175 RVs.
See some wildlife habitat at elevations above 6,300 feet that offer nearby primitive campgrounds and remote back-country cabins for hunting, bird watching, wildlife viewing, photography, hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding

120 RV campsites in two adjacent areas. All campsites are equipped with water, electricity, and sewage hookups. A bathhouse, complete with laundry facilities. All campsites are designed as pull through and will accommodate the longest travel trailers. No campfires are allowed; however, charcoal or gas grills are acceptable.

The primitive campground provides picnic tables, water, chemical toilet, and trash removal. There are 26 tent spaces and camping is limited to tents and small pop up tent trailers only. Small campfires are permitted in approved fire pits.
