Description

The Continental Divide Trail is a United States National Scenic Trail with a length of 3,028 miles between the U.S. border with Chihuahua, Mexico and the border with Alberta, Canada. The CDT is a combination of dedicated trails and small roads, with portions designated as uncompleted and must be traveled by walking on dirt or paved roads. This trail can be continued north into Alberta and British Columbia, to Kakwa Lake in Kakwa Provincial Park and Protected Area, B.C., north of Jasper National Park by the Great Divide Trail.
