Description
Visitors of Elk Knob State Park can hike up to its summit and immerse in the stunning nature views. The park tries to remain open during winter season and offer cross country skiing and snowshoeing activities.
The park offers primitive and backcountry campsites. Only toilets can be accessed by campers, there are no water so make sure you are self-contained.
Camping fee is $15 a night.

Primitive backcountry camp sites great views

Sites are approximately a one- to two-mile hike from the trailhead. All supplies, including water, must be packed to the sites. To drink water from nearby creeks and streams, use a filtration device or boil the water for at least 5 minutes. Camp fires are not allowed. Cooking by camp stove is permitted.
