Disperse camping is allowed in the Birkhead Mountains Wilderness. Camp at least 200 feet from all streams, creeks, roads and wildlife fields. When using fire rings, please disperse the ring before leaving camp. Use of cook stoves is highly recommended. Firewood is available as dead and down in the forest, please do not cut live trees for firewood. No mountain bikes or ATV's are allowed. Max stay 14 days.

This is a really nice place I drive a Dodge Grand caravan so the road was a little Rocky and bumpy getting back here headed out a little bit but was doable nice and quiet nobody really great place perfetto vanlifers to stop and stretch for a few days dogs love itvery nice place except for one problem people pick up their dog poop and then leave bags behind there's no garbage can they just leave them on the ground? I don't understand this is the woods
