Description

Burning Coal Vein Campground is the southernmost campground along the 146-mile Maah Daah Hey Trail, which offers visitors solitude, privacy, and scenic views of the surrounding badlands, columnar juniper and ponderosa pine forest. The campground provides one vault toilet, a hand pump with potable water, picnic tables, fire rings, and shaded gravel camping pads.

If you do not mind travelling 30mins on gravel to get there, it is an amazing spot for an overnight stay. We were the only guests. No cell phone connection, water pump not working at this moment, but vault toilet okay.
