Description

The "World's Largest Buffalo Monument" is a sculpture of an American Bison that is visible from Interstate 94, and overlooks the city from above the James River valley. It is a significant tourist draw for Jamestown and the source of its nickname, The Buffalo City. The 26-foot-tall, 60-ton concrete giant was ceated by sculptor Elmer Petersen.
