Description

Spanning 132 acres, Bates State Park offers interpretive panels that describe Bates life in the early to mid-20th century and the steps taking place now to restore the land and waterways. Explore Bates with over three miles of hiking trails, and seek out viewpoints along the trails that overlook the park, old mill pond and valley. Visitors can also camp at the park from May 1 to October 31, as it offers 28 primitive sites for self-contained RVs and tents, vault toilets, drinking water, and a hiker and biker camp with six sites and electric plug-ins. There are also three accessible campsites onsite.
