Description

Part of Lake Wallula, travelers can camp, swim, or simply have a picnic at Sand Station Recreation Area, managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Open from May to September only, it offers individual sites on a first-come, first-served basis, and a group camping area by permit only and for reservation. There is also a day use area that overnight campers can use, featuring picnic tables, fire pits and grills, vault toilets, and a swimming beach.
