Description
Named after the battle between Qua-to-mah Native Americans and the men of Capt. William Tichenor in 1851. It provides spectacular views of Oregon's south coast. Grey whales are sometimes seen hanging out in the cove area.

Great place for a walk along the beach or climb battle rock for a great vantage point for spotting gray whales as they migrate along the coast. We were lucky enough to see them in May. Just look for the puffs of water.
