Description

South Ice Cave is a lava tube that can be freely visited with the right equipment and clothing. See a small ice pond inside and end at an ice plug. The cave is cold year-round, due to the air flowing down into the cave and getting trapped there.

Caves to explore in two directions, cool and damp in summer when we visited. Would be impressive during winter/spring to see the Ice formations. Bring flashlights, warm gear and a sense of adventure.
