Description

See over 54,000 acres of lakes, lava flows and wonderful geologic features at Newberry National Volcanic Monument. Visit the highest point within the Monument, the summit Paulina Peak at 7,985 feet, showcasing views of the Cascades, Newberry Caldera and across the High Desert. The Newberry Crater is a caldera formed from the overlying rocks that collapsed when the magma chamber is emptied.
