The cave can only be accessed on a tour. Cave tours run early spring through fall. The cave is closed in winter to protect hibernating bats. Wait times for tours can be long in the summer. The road in is narrow and winding and is not suitable for trailers, park trailers at the Illinois Visitor Center in Cave Junction.
