There are several spectacular falls on Eagle Creek Trail, including Tunnel Falls, Punch Bowl and Twister Falls. Easy grade but rough tread with many drop offs. Diciest sections include cable handholds. Recommend trekking poles. Warning: In the summer, LEAVE THE TRAILHEAD EARLY, like 5 or 6am. It's 14-16 miles RT, depending on where you park and whether you go to Twister Falls (definately do so - it's only a little further - and just beyond the falls, you can get your shirt and hat wet for the hike back). We started about 8:30am and most of the return was in full sun with temps in the upper 90s.
