Description

The Big Savage Tunnel is a formerly abandoned railway tunnel part of the Great Allegheny Passage rail trail, along with the Pinkerton Tunnel, Borden Tunnel, and Brush Tunnel. It was originally built for the Connellsville subdivision of the Western Maryland Railway.
