Description

Hunting Island State Park is the state's single most popular state park, offering five miles of pristine beaches, thousands of acres of marsh and maritime forest, a saltwater lagoon and an ocean inlet. Visitors can see Hunting Island Lighthouse, one of the most distinctive lighthouses in South Carolina with a panoramic view of the Atlantic Coast and the surrounding maritime forest. There are also 100 campsites with water and electrical hookups, access to shower and restroom facilities, beach walkways, and a playground.

No RVs in the State Park Beach Area!

Closed through may 21st 2017 because of damages from Hurricane Matthew!

Great beachside camping area, as pretty full around Xmas time, be sure to visit the nature centre. Restroom weren't too bad nice hot showers, great wi-fi
