Description
Also known as the Gov. William Aiken House, the Aiken-Rhett House Museum was built in 1820 by John Robinson after the governor bought several lots in Mazyck-Wraggborough in 1817. The house was originally configured as a Charleston single house with entrance to the house from the south side along Judith Street.
Today, it serves as the best preserved complex of antebellum domestic structures in Charleston.
