Description

Newton Hills State Park is visited by over 200 bird species each year. It is also a great place to spot white-tailed deer, wild turkeys, marmots, rabbits, fox and squirrels. The park has 126 campsites, 10 horse camps, and 9 cabins. It has access to biking, boating, canoeing, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, snowshoeing, and swimming. Playground, toilets and showers are available. Daily rate starts at $22.

Nice park with nice trails. Heavily forested. Has like most camping near Sioux falls, during peak seasons on the weekend you probably won't be able to get in. Off season though hardly anybody there.
