Description

Fort Loudoun State Historic Park is one of the earliest British fortifications on the western frontier built in 1756. Today, the reconstructed fort give visitors overlooking views of TVA's Tellico Reservoir and the Appalachian Mountains. There's also an interpretative center that offers information on the area's history and artifacts that were excavated prior to the fort's reconstruction, as well as an auditorium that features Fort Loudoun: Forsaken by God and Man, which is a 15-minute film about the history of the site.
