Description
The Chimney Tops Trail is one of the most popular trails in Great Smoky Mountains National Park because of its length and spectacular views. Gaining 1,400 feet in two miles, hikers must wear sturdy shoes and bring plenty of water.

1.75 miles of the trail is open but the last 0.25 miles to the chimney tops is closed. You can still see the chimney tops (pinnacle formations) from the trail.
