Description
Chimney Tops is a mountain in the central Great Smoky Mountains that is 4,724 feet above sea level. This is a double-capstone knob on the eastern slope of the Sugarland Mountain massif, and stretches north-south across the north-central section of the Smokies.

4 miles roundtrip, Elevation change of 1,400 feet. Trailhead Location Drive 6.7 miles south from Sugarlands visitor Center on Newfound Gap Road (or 22 miles north from Oconaluftee Visitor Center). Look for a large parking area on the west side of the road between the lower tunnel and 'the loop'.
