Description
A living history museum of pioneer, frontier, and early artifacts of mountain life in the Southern Appalachians. All of its 65 acres can be explored by visitors. It features 35 log cabins, barns, farm animals, churches, schools, and gardens.
Three buildings house over 250,000 artifacts. A restaurant specializing in Southern Appalachian cooking is also on site.
It is open daily from 9am. Admission fee is $6 to $18.
